We've got over 100 acres of fields and woodland right on our doorstep and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is near-by with numerous lanes, footpaths and bridleways to explore, and there's the Coast Path with its spectacular scenery and superb beaches.

Loch Eck near Dunoon Scotland
Woodsman’s Cottage is a delightful, semi-detached holiday cottage, perfect for friends or family who want to spend time together in this beautiful location. With Loch Eck literally just across the road, and with a private mooring, perfect for small boats and canoeing, and daily fishing permits on the loch (at cost) it’s great for those who want to enjoy the outdoors. Pets Welcome (2)
Red squirrels and woodpeckers are often seen in the garden. From the front of the house there are spectacular views of the loch and of Beinn Mhor. You can walk from the back garden through the gate (a bit of an adventure!) and along the ridge to Puck’s Glen, a beautiful woodland walk with a charming waterfall, or use the car park nearby.
After exploring the area you can relax in the garden with a glass of wine and admire the view or curl up with a book in front of the wood burning stove. This is a cottage for all seasons. There are stunning local walks and cycle rides in the vicinity, or you could take a trip to the Isle of Bute or the Kyles of Bute. Blairmore and Strone Golf Club (open to all) is about eight miles from the cottage and affords spectacular views across Holy Loch. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Review by Heather, Henry & Flo
We had a lovely stay in this cosy cottage, overlooking beautiful Loch Eck, it was a walkers paradise with lots of woodland to explore, central location for days out. The cottage had everything you needed, Henry and Flo loved the cosy log burning fire in the evening,
loads of information about the area and places to visit, Henry liked exploring the garden, I didn't let Flo off the lead because of her high prey drive and the closeness to the forest, she would have leapt the fence, but there was a lovely walk with waterfalls five minutes drive away called Pucks Glen. The owner Mrs. Mardo welcomed us warmly, We highly recommend a stay inWoodsmans Cottage

Bentinck - Little Tathwell, nr. Louth, Lincolnshire
Review by Jane Ive & Looby
Beautiful little cottage, ( one of a pair linked by shared entrance, both dog friendly) extremely well equipped & comfortable. Private fenced garden with access to a paddock & front garden ( which is gated).
Lady who owns the cottages lives next door & has a dog herself & is lovely. Very quiet location with views over the wolds. Lots of dog friendly pubs in local villages with very good reasonably priced food on offer.
Positioned on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds these two semi-detached holiday cottages both offer a very good standard of accommodation just 4 miles from the market town of Louth and 2 miles from Cadwell Park.
Situated on a quiet country lane with private parking and enclosed grounds, both cottages have views over open fields and make for an ideal spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life.
The sandy beaches of Mablethorpe, 15 miles, and Skegness, 21 miles, both offer good days out. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
.Scargill Castle nestles in the beautiful Teesdale landscape close to the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Built in 1550 on the site of an earlier medieval castle, it has recently been restored from a crumbling ruin into a delightful retreat for two which combines historic character with all the cosiness and comfort expected in the 21st century.
